Kew Gallery displays and sells traditional and contemporary realist and impressionist art by leading Australian artists. In our informal and relaxed Gallery you can view a range of artworks from our extensive stockroom. In addition to our general stock displays we hold at least 8 solo and group exhibitions throughout the course of the year. The Gallery was established in early 1970 and over the years under the directorship of Tom Roberts - great nephew of the celebrated Australian impressionist painter of the same name - has showcased the works of established and emerging artists. In 2005 Anne Roberts (Tom Roberts' daughter) became the Director of Kew Gallery. Anne holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Victorian College of the Arts, and has been working for over 20 years at the Gallery. The Gallery would not be here without the artists who devote their lives to their art, and the new boundaries set by our artists when they successfully try a new subject or style is constantly surprising. Their passion is inspiring. We hope you will be inspired too.
