ALMA FIGUEROLA (1895 - 1969)

biography

Alma Figuerola studied with her father Juan Figuerola, then with Oscar Binder and Tom Carter before working for 4 years in the studio of Max Meldrum.

She was Honorary Secretary of the Twenty Melbourne Painters group from c1940 and a member of the Fellowship of Australian Artists. She conducted classes in her studio for many years and painted figure studies, still life and portraits mainly in the manner of Max Meldrum.

She resided in Barry Street, Kew.
